Tiller extention for C27

I need to get a tiller extension. I also want a way to lock the tiller. I've noticed that Forespar has a "Lock Box" to go with their adjustable tiller extension. Has anyone here used this setup on a C27? If so, how do you like it and what length extender should I get?

Joel that looks like a perfectly simple solution. Thanks for the heads up. I was contemplating a tiller tamer but the tiller attachment is so far forward the control ropes really get in the way. I also wanted a tiller extension for sitting back and relaxing.
This takes care of both. I take it that you only need the lock box on one side. Now the only question is what size? I would eventually like to have rail seats.
BTW now that I think about it I think I have an extra left over tiller extention from my Hobie days.

I was hoping someone here would know what size.
I'm not sure about the Hobie tiller extension? If it's anything like the "Hot Stick" I have on my Hobie, my guess is it would be too long to utilize the "Lock Box"! But I'm going to check it out:dance:.

So...... Nobody here has an opinion on brand, size, or style of tiller extension for a 70s era C27?
