Capri 26

I'm considering purchasing a Capri 26 and would like some input regarding the quality and sailing nature of the boat in general. And, what issues owners have had that I should look for on used Capri 26s.

In general they sail quite well. The quality is standard for about a 15 year old small Catalina. I am not aware of any special problems that are different from other production boats of the same age. It is a comfortable boat inside and out. They are responsive and can be quick if sailed properly. I would not hesitate to buy one if I was interested in that market. hope this helps.

I almost bought one, except since the water here is small so I decided bigger was not worth it. For me, I'd have to figure out how to cause a 20,000 acre hole in the ground the just happened to fill with water. Maybe the "Greater Powers" that handle geology could cause a giant landslide in a large mountain canyon...

Otherwise, they seem like nice boats and owners/ex-owners that I have talked to have agreed.

I moved up from a Capri 18, so make that 8 foot-itis.
