I wonder if when you change a belt, stash a couple spares behind the alternator with zip ties keeping it away from the moving parts. That way if you have to hurry up and change it, you won't have to open the plumbing. Just cut the old belt, slide a new one in place and fasten it in.

Looks like one wrench and a crow bar will change a belt, nice pics and wow I thought my center cockpit had tons of room for engine work.

Hey, guys,its a beta marine 35 hp, been getting ready every sunday all winter, dropped in last friday,, hooked up fuel lines, installed new throttle/ shifter today, primed the raycor, used the primer pump, it turned right over, quit, primed once more, started on 1st turn, ran it out of a bucket with a hose, on and off for an hour. really runs smooth,especially compared to old renault 2 cylinder...IT WAS A GOOD DAY...A little wax, paint, some wiring, plus the normal ton of work and I'm ready to dunk....I have lots of pics I could not get them to post at sailnet site...not much with computers.....Red
