You might want to look into getting a TV which can operate on 12 VDC if that is your only reason to install an inverter. Most flat panels of that size have what is commonly called a wall-wart which converts 110VAC to DC on which the TV operates. Simply eliminating the wall wart will serve your purpose.
Battery capacity is a function of how much power you need to operate the boat's electronics. Figure out how much power you may typically consume between re-charge intervals, double that, ensure your alternator can handle that sized battery capacity effectively and you have the answer to your capacity question.
Deep cycle batteries are preferable to automotive start batteries and the so-called "marine" batteries which can be of dubious and needlessly expensive type.

no more then two day trips here and no charging ability from the tohatsu 9.9 believe the 19"plasma is that bigger box under the tree from the mrs to me , other then this tv possibly a coffee maker and dvd player to use aboard use would be at most 1-2movies per night "total 4on two day trip" coffee maker?well twice a day anyway.with this in mind at most what should the duel battery set up be?rather overpower then wish I had later , thanks

Things that make stuff hot or cold take ENORMOUS ammounts of electrical power.
Your battery usage is more complicated than "two day trips with no charging". Things like do you sail at night, stay on the hook or at a dock, .....

I have a spread sheet that will help you figure out how much battery capacity you need if you are interested.

You will need some extra heavy duty battery power for sure and good charging for sure.
Maybe 2 -6 volt batteries and separate starter battery and I think you will be
looking at a Honda Gen for charging,I am only guessing this is what you will be needing.
I have 2-4 D's and start battery and back up Gen on my 36 Hunter to watch DVD's and all the other things the admiral needs to make her comfortable while out anchored.
Once you do the math you will know for sure.

I started to write an explanation of the likely power demands you can expect but it's too vague and lengthy so suffice it to say you should do as others have suggested - figure out what your expected DC power demands are between recharge intervals to determine what size battery capacity you expect. That plus the power draw of any 110VAC appliances fed through an inverter will give you the total DC power requirements on which you can base battery size selection.
You might also seriously consider using a stove-heated coffee maker rather than a plug-in one to minimize the size inverter you would need just for the TV which, as I mentioned, could run off 12VDC if you choose the correct type and model.

I have no need for a large system of batteries or inverters as I have a honda 2000 watt (1600 watt run) generator. It runs everything I need and is quiet as a church mouse when placed away from the boat on top of the transom (strapped on well !)
Just a suggestion to make you think of what is really needed to charge the battery and run all needed loads on a cruise. p.s. it uses 1 gal of gas per day under light loads.
