I learned how to pull a high definition "photo" from a video today so I'm posting a photo to let you see how well the welting fit around the replacement bulkhead.
I am curious, how is the door frame fastened to the bulkhead?

The "door frame" as you call it is a piece of 2" by 2" vertical trim that has a slot the bulkhead slips into, (the slot faces starboard). Screws come from the VBerth side across the slot through the bulkhead and back into the other side of the slot to bind the trim to the bulkhead. The hinges of the door to the VBerth then mount on the port side of this piece of trim. If you zoom in, you can see this trim piece attached to the bulkhead in the photo, "DryFitNewBulkhead". Marking & measuring carefully to maintain the original door opening width before you remove the original bulkhead and trim piece is important.

Yea, that is exactly what I was asking about. I was just asking because I have to work on my bulkhead at some point. I did not notice screw plugs on the side of the trim piece but I will not take a closer look.

Thanks

I didn't take that part out and I don't ever remember seeing "screws" in this location so I bet you need to find wood plugs that cover the screw heads.
