Removing and reinstalling furler with mast up

Did your last furler have wire rope? I've only seen one pic of a furler like that

. ... New sheaves for the mast head, new VHF cable, new antenna, new anchor light, new foredeck/steaming light and some mast exit plates should finish off the project. Oh…and some new halyards since my old CDI furler didn’t use a rope halyard.. need to add a new one...

When the mast is taken down there is a lot updating that appears out of the blue. Maybe if boatyard managers understood that they would be more amiable to sailboats. Or even make it less expensive to drop and raise the mast. Not to mention storage fees.
