New owner of marina, wedding venue sells HCB (former Hydrosport) power boat center console experience to newly weds. I guess standing on the bow of an overpriced plastic hull is the new classy way to kick off the wedding party. The four 600hp engines are surprisingly quiet, the music turned up full volume for harbor cruise is deafening, the horn blasting kind of irritating, the crowd cheers & screams I guess is OK…. it’s for the bride & groom.

Perhaps a Hinkley picnic boat with nice music, A guy with guitar/accordian/violin out playing softly from stern? IDK, maybe I’m just old fashioned…or just old.
A classic Sailboat or even a James Bond modern sailboat (Spirit 46) would I prefer. What do you think?

There might be some noise ordinances but it might not be worth the hassle. Hire a diver to remove the prop nuts!

I bet you, this is how the marina owner justifies this boat as a business expense in the eyes of the IRS.

Quad 400 hp (e.g., Mercury V10 400s): typically $900k–$1.6 million depending on model year, options, and exact boat length. I used 42 ft. Upgrade to diesel to get better fuel efficiency and you need a bigger boat (53footer to deal with the engine weight) and the costs increase to around $2.3 million.

I’m really anxious to win the lottery so I can join the party .

I learned in high school that other people should not have to listen to your tunes. It was other kids who knew that rolling down windows and blaring music was annoying.

It is a sign of immaturity ... which isn't anything new.

I could sorta take the bad music for short stints. Very short stints actually. It was the clowns that would take a straight wrecking bar and pound the baffles out of their hot rod mufflers that really got to me.

Now THAT was annoying.

I have three questions; what’s the top speed, fuel burn rate, & fuel capacity?
There’s very few charter operators on Gulf Coast that run 50-75 miles offshore in those big horsepower rigs to fish or dive the oil structures for grouper, tuna, red snapper, mahi, wahoo, etc. Get there fast & have more time to fish. Got to be an expensive trip!
