Replacement step cooler

Not my pic, but it was my inspiration. We bought one of these last year. It's not quite Yeti quality, but it is head and shoulders above the standard Igloo we had used for so long. It's smaller inside, but makes up for it by needing less ice. I'd buy it again.

Also note, the 30qt model fits perfectly in the cockpit. I use it for drinks so I don't have to keep opening and closing the food cooler down below. Light enough to move out of the way and take home. The 35 is perfect for the step.

I got my ES new cooler. Is there anything specific that you need to do to screw the step board on top? It just seems like there isn't anything in that lid for the threads to bite into.

I just used some slightly longer stainless steel course treaded screws. Is on there tight.

We decided not to use our step board. I applied some ornate non-skid tape to the lid instead.
