Help - Washdown for anchor locker

Hi! Owned this 2005 Hunter 46LE for a little while. Finally getting to washdown. There's a port. Seems.to be maybe half inch, with a notch in it. Seems.a hose with an oring probably is needed to plug into it. 1st, where to source that thing. Next, there's a white switch on my breaker panel labeled washdown. If I turn it on, nothing happens. Haven't dug into this yet. Should there be a local on off? Should it plumb to my fresh or saltwater? Same or different pump than my freshwater boat pump? I'd take your thoughts on it while I start tracing hoses...as it has it's own breaker, assuming a saltwater pump somewhere that I need to find. Probably a seacock I'm looking for....

Shittake mushrooms...i think the previous owner reutilized the seacock for this to hook up the desalination system. Would explain why there's no washdown...fun!

You could probably put a T on that seacock to share the thru hull. The two pumps should never need to run at the same time. I don’t know if you’d need any kind of valves to prevent each pump from pulling air through the other.

How about a check valve for each pump? Diaphragm pumps should have those built in

I believe I have the wash down adapter fitting that goes into this deck outlet. I bought it for this exact purpose but didn’t use it.
