Shields also makes a small diameter sanitation hose. The larger Shields hoses are cheap and a real PITA to work with. I'll never buy them again. You have to find something small enough for vent line…typical sanitation hose is 1” or 1.5”.
This would work and it is available in smaller diameters. And a lot cheaper than Raritan Sani-flex.

Sanitation hose, like many products, was an evolving technology. Flexible PVC #148 was the first sanitation hose--and the only one--until the mid '90s when SeaLand Technology introduced their OdorSafe and Trident began introducing hoses that are more permeation resistant, culminating in their double-walled rubber 101/102 hoses that were the best until Raritan introduced their Sani-Flex. Flex pvc #148 is still acceptable for use as vent line and flush water intake line.I've had problems in the past with both Trident and Shields 148-series VAC hose like you bought permeating quickly. I don't know why Trident and Shields market these hoses as "sanitation".
