Evening all, I have a 1993 28 hull number 337. I am trying to identify the Roller Furler so I can give it an overhaul. Also, can anyone help me with the mainsail traveller make. I have been online trying to match them up but with no luck. Any help anyone can give me will be much apricated. Regards Bill.

As they are a production boat, I thought that I would receive a reply from a 28 owner, I am Australian and we don't say "dadgummit" sounds disrespectful, not helpful
Call Warren Pandy at Catalina (727) 544-6681. Give his the hull number and he should be able to tell you the source(s)..
There is really no way to know whether or not a previous owner ( the boat is over 30 years old…) has replaced the furler in the past…hence the request for photos.

It's not even a safe assumption to think that Catalina used the same furler supplier from one end of the production run to the other.

Travelers and Furlers are option items provided when the boat is delivered to a dealer. They are installed during commissioning.
In many cases, the items you want to address have been upgraded by one or more boat owners.
The members here have seen a lot of different boat hardware. Images of your equipment may help provide the solution you seek.

To me it looks like a Hood Seafurl 800 furler. Manuals and much info on many sites including this site. Pompanette.com purchased Hood. Good luck.
As Stu said, you'll find that Garhauer made most if not all of the running rigging hardware for Catalina. Some of it may not be an exact match, especially mounting hole spacing, unless bought from Catalina Direct. IE turning blocks/cheek blocks.
