Just thought I would share some pictures in case anyone is interested in details about the shaft and coupling.

good pictures, cdells. I see you have one of the earlier H-34's with the Westerbeke 4 instead of the Yanmar. The shaft taper fit at the propeller is an SAE standard fit.. Note that the small nut on the prop goes on the shaft first .. Also check out MaineSail's prop shaft installation notes..

Kloudie, thanks again for the info. I will keep taking pictures…maybe I’ll try my hand at making a video.

I was planing on using these guys
Anyone have any experience with them? I want to buy the shaft, coupler and have them fitted and faces all at once

I used my local boat yard for a new shaft and coupling, and they did the fit and face for me. Turned out very nice.

I also upgraded to a Volvo dripless shaft seal…so nice to have a dry bilge.

Do not know about that company, but the idea is spot on. I recently completed that very thing. Got the 1 3/8" shaft, my prop fitted to the shaft, Split coupler fitted and faced for about 1 Boat buck. When I put it in the boat everything worked as desired.

Work was completed in 5 days.

My next step is to get the engine back into the boat. Once it is properly running of course.
