Well, we’re both on chain. But yes, close, and he’s closer now; dead ahead to the wind probably less than a boat length (40 ft) from me bow. I’m sure he’s sitting over me anchor.

I think that's called a NotKnot. It's similar to a Slipknot, but easier to tie and has more slip.
