But thank you for the video, it's a very graphic lesson in what can happen to these hoses with just time. I had a flood from two broken cockpit scupper hoses, that failed the same winter after about 25 years.
I have a plan to replace all of my engine hoses this year, raw water and fresh water, and to carefully inspect all the other hoses. Some are virtually inaccessible, like deck scuppers that have hoses inside the hull leading to sea chests. Also, there are the bilge hoses.... This current boat is a 1996.
