Not wanting to trust old o-rings of unknown vintage and having no spares, I tried buying speed xdcr rings from a hydraulic hose supplier. Four of them cost $14.67 and they were ever so slightly too big for the groove, so the sensor would not go back in the thru-hull.

I was able to match one at ACE Hardware in the plumbing area and four cost $1.91. There was a number on the bin starting with SBD but enough o-rings were in the wrong compartment that it's better not to risk relating a wrong number here.

Thanks for the idea to look at Ace. I went to O’Reilly’s and the o rings they had were too thick.

I had good service in the past on my speed and depth units from DMI on my 84 H31. Sent them in for service. Look past the dog pic and give them a call. I tried phoning and got their after hours voice mail. Also check out the General Downloads section of this forum for Datamarine units Info/brochure.

I had a superb experience with DMI although it was quite some time ago. Mike, dig deeper, don't just stop at the first page...

...because you'll learn they make replacement instruments, too.
DMI is still there and open for business. They are literally a mom & pop company, and get easily overwhelmed with calls/questions/email/work.
He refurbed my 1978 LED depth instrument (S-100-K) and it was a great experience. I sent it to him around 2/15/2022 and got it back around 4/15/22. They even sent me a new plastic cover. Cost around $150 altogether and it works great.

I hope this helps someone!

If anyone knows how to determine the transducer frequency, please post a reply. I have an extra DMI Corinthian Series S200DL. I've considered trying it, but don't want to damage my old transducer.

Well by the look of the website they say a lot on one page, then the products page shows one small gauge that’s Victor or something like that, and no Datamarine products. There is also a link to another hardware site that seems to be run by the same guy that looks just as home made and it also doesn’t have much on it. First impressions say a lot, and right now I’m not impressed. I think my chances are better with a new port lite or a repair.
