Seems like Beneteau has created a ‘unicorn’ dock cord. 30amp/125 dock side, 50 amp/ 125 ship side. It is a 30 amp boat. (2016 Oceanis). Only source I see is from the dealer supply chain - or Beneteau parts.

Anybody have any intel on this?

Perhaps you can buy the appropriate pig tail Pigtail (marinco.com) to connect a 30 amp shore power cord to the 50 amp boat connection? That is what I do on my powerboat that has a 50 amp boat connection.

Somehow we managed to have a 5 page discussion of this situation a few years ago at Need source for shore power cord. Unfortunately having re-read it I’m not sure I’m any wiser on the best way forward.
Thank you…. Good source. Although I was a tad confused with the ‘two cord’ scenario. I think a pigtail may be the way to go.

Not that it matters, but is there a legitimate explanation as to why they created this non standard cord?

An quick internet search could not find a 30amp/125 dock side, 50 amp/125 ship side marine cord. If it was my boat I would buy the appropriate pigtail adapters to connect to the shore power supply and boat and a power cord that matches the boat amperage (30 or 50 amp). Both of my boats have a pigtail adapter at the shore to connect up either a 30 amp or 50 amp power cord from the boat.
