Problems with my 2003 Beneteau 411 Refrig and Freezer

I need a door latch part for my refrig. Does anyone know where I can find that part? Also, my freezer is not freezing. What should I do?

What company manufactured your fridge? Try contacting them directly or google company’s authorized dealer or parts department for parts source, if you have an owner’s manual for the unit, it may have a parts diagram and corresponding part number for the latch, that will help your search.

Basically - fuse/power, fan running?, bypass t'stat, check controller - get LED connected to diagnose, verify compressor windings- see youtube

I bought new compressor on Amazon and new dual voltage controller (12vdc/120vac). My unit had refer couplings just adjacent to the compressor so taking the unit out to replace the compressor was an easy fix. This allowed me to get the tubing silver soldered correctly. I did have access to a vacuum pump so I was able to recharge with R134A.

Thanks for the suggestions. What I found was the latch doesn't have a catch to keep the door shut. That metal catch is a part of the door latch system. It should not cost very much. It is a stainless steel part. However, finding that part is the issue.

Also, my freezer is not freezing. What should I do?

If the fridge runs but does not get cold at any thermostat setting, likely it needs a recharge. No help on the latch without a picture.
