I'm looking to replace the simulated teak on the transom step of my Hunter 49. It gets very hot. It's too hot for bare feet in the summer. Does anyone know of a similar product that stays cool in the sun?
It is a little thicker, but the sides are contured, it comes in various degrees of thickness. In my instance it does provide a little cushion for your feet and backside.I have a question about the thickness of the Sea Deck product. Does it lay in to the recessed area like the original material, or is it a little thicker? It's hard to tell from the pictures.
Question for who?Was it difficult to remove the old product before installing the new
I had Seadek on my cockpit floors for about seven years. When I decided to do the cockpit seats I decided to redo the cockpit floor so it would all match. The old Seadek was difficult to get up, it came up in parts and pieces. It took some serious scrapping to get all up. The adhesive residue came up easily with mineral spirits and a metal putty knife. Was it difficult to remove the old product before installing the new?
