What do you intend to accomplish by doing this? Aren't the two pennants that come from the mooring to the boat already nylon?

Again, I'm confused. Why would you want to attach a snubber to a line, especially one that is much stronger than the line itself?

I'm not sure you would need a snubber. Snubbers are useful when the boat pulls against a heavy hard object like a dock. The Mantus snubbers that @Dave Groshong suggested are used with all chain anchor rode to take the anchor load off the windlass and put the load on a cleat.

As @capta suggested, a nylon pennant should work. Since you have a bridle, ½ twisted nylon should be adequate. Replace it every few years when it gets stiff and loses its elasticity.

Former Finger lake sailor here. I don't see any harm in adding one of those heavy black rubber snubbers. In fact I think I had one at one point. (In big fall South winds the fetch & wave frequency can bounce the mooring weight). An easier way if not in a crowded mooring field would be to just add length to your mooring lines. My biggest problem was line chaff as the fluky lake wind would wind the lines around the chain and each other. John at the Sailboat Shop in Skan. can set the lines up for you if you're eye splice challenged.

I’ve moored on a relatively exposed mooring for years although your boat is bigger than any I’ve had the principle is the same. My philosophy has been to oversize and add as much protection as possible. Helps you sleep at night!

I have two pennants hooked up like you but one is slightly shorter. If the primary fails the other one takes over. I always used a snubber as if/when things get wild it adds to the shock load protection of the nylon line.

You might want to rig one of these as you can take it with you for when you drop anchor. I have a permanent one in place on my mooring chain.
