Three out of four sets of shrouds showing along the gunnels. This is a Camden built schooner thought to be the Edward J. Berwind and its captain, Frank Lacey, circa 1906.

Slickcraft 26 Sailfish
We had two in our area. One sailed by a legend. If he got a close reaching wind - Fuhgeddaboutit. If there was a significant beam sea it was dangerous. Waves would tumble over the low gunnel. That engendered the often quoted admonition to the Legend's granddaughter , "Stop crying and start bailing." May he rest in peace. I'm not sure the granddaughter still sails.

I think they had you, Jon, in mind when they designed this boat.
" Scandinavian Cruisers are designed without regard for any handicap, class or measurement rules. The only design "compromise" is to design the fastest possible day boat with the most stunningly beautiful classic yacht lines."
