The 2018 Photo Contest is in the books and here are your winners...

Honorable Mention goes to pmirenda (a name you've seen in this contest every year we've had one), a member since 2008 who sails a Catalina 30 MkIII.

Another Honorable Mention is for h2o_snow who used the site since 2016. h20 sails a Hunter 260 out of Idaho.

And the Grand Prize Winner, Numero Uno, and Best of Show goes to Sailavie1 and this magnificent photo. Sailavie1 sails Wabamun Lake in Alberta, CA with his Hunter 25. We'll be sending a gift certificate to the SailboatOwners.com store along with a full year of bragging rights.

Congratulations to Sailavie1, h20_snow, pmirenda, and all of the other participants. Truly amazing photos!

I really enjoyed all of the photos and speaking for myself, I enjoyed every single one of them and had a very difficult time making decisions.

Whoopa! Thanks for the votes!

Pic above was taken at Cane Creek via a friends drone on our first night out on Lake Powell this March. It was too cool/early for houseboats, jet skis & ski boats - once past Rainbow Arch maybe saw 4 other boats/day.

Perfect for water ballast boats - the Catalina 27 is anchored out. Really fun poking up side slot canyons.

Great year of Photos... I thought I had a chance with the Square Rigger.. A Crossing of the T Shot.. Right out of the History Books.
So Next year Who Knows... I'll really have to work at it... You guys are just too good. It was a difficult choice to limit myself to only 3.
Merry Christmas to all!

Thanks Kermit and to all that voted for it.
What an honour it is to win this years’ contest. I can’t believe it beat out all of those gorgeous boats in exotic locations. What a nice Christmas gift.
Cheers

Hold on here, sailing in Alberta, really? I think this is fake news. Awsome skiing, ice climbing, mountaineering and rodeos in Alberta but sailing??
Nice picture but I think it was taken in Muskoka.
