Thats the nice thing about the remote panel - you don't need to crawl to see the settings.

I do have the remote, but it shows what the charger is doing. I noticed that it was seldom charging and the voyages and amps were strange when they were visible. I also noticed that the Smart Guage wasn't getting to 100% SOC even though the charger was attached and working. Once I reset the charger, all was good again.

When I bought the charger and remote, it was promoted as a remote panel and control. In reality all it was is a remote display.

Double check your battery settings. This summer my ProNautic 50 (aka sterling) started acting up and not charging the house bank and when it did the numbers were way off. When crawled into the locker I saw that the setting had changed from custom to gel on battery 2. Nothing is connected to the battery 2 output. Once I changed the settings back all was fine.

I think that some weird random event occurred that caused the button to be pressed changing the setting. Another item on the to do list is to protect the button.
Thanks. I did double check the settings and they were as they should be. The charger is reading the voltages I set them to but the batteries are getting higher voltages in both bulk and absorption without the temp sensor just as they were with the temp sensor.
I’m just trying to verify that the charger is operating as intended?

Does the Auto Temp Control LED light up when you have the temp. sensor plugged in?

I remember that I had some issue when I upgraded from a 12-10P to a 12-30P. It seems like the solution was to turn the charger off and back on, I may have also disconnected the batteries.

Yes, I’ve tested removing the sensor (from the charger) and the led indicator shows when plugged in and off when not.
I contacted Sterling and this was the first thing he asked me to test.
My confusion is why the batteries *always* have more voltage than the charger indicates whether in temp sense mode or not—given voltage drop I would expect the opposite to be true. I’m using 4G wire with a 16 foot round trip.
Hoping I don’t have to exchange this thing...
