Does your boat have a secondary operating bilge pump in case of primary bilge pump failure? Any photos of the installation? and is your primary pump float switch built in the pump or a remote float switch?

Yes. Two individual float switches, separate hoses and through hulls. One of the switches is a water witch at @Maine Sail ’s recommendation.

I have a 500 gph as the primary, and a 2000 gph with it's float mounted about six inches higher as the emergency pump. So far I don't think the big ones ever come on. The little one is the primary as it's small hose doesn't hold as much water to flood back into the bilge when the pump shuts off. When I got the boat it had just the big pump and when it shut off enough water would flow back to turn it back on. It would pump that same couple gallons back and forth all day long.

Three pumps total.

I also changed all the plumbing around as the original pumps would barely move any water out of the bilge due to the excessive run and hose type. Now they could keep up with a large amount of water coming in.

You can find all the info about the install here....

Just something of interest to keep in mind when adding a second pump.

After you consider the dramatic reduction in pumping efficiency on a 2000 gph pump with a head of 6', you might want to reconsider the size of your back up pump.

I don't see any vented loops and the pipes appear to flow overboard below the water line. Those are centrifugal pumps, are they not?

They exit the boat at the transom above the water line and ...

.... the plumbing there, all above the water line, is the same as a vented loop you would buy...

It is all covered in the link I provided....

Very handy and informational chart.
My draft is 3'10" and I have 3/4" thru hulls. Using 2' head pressure I could expect 960 gph inflow. My 1500 gph might keep up with it depending on hose type, distance, etc. Good information to know.
