Hehe...I do like the Pogoski ;-)
I doubt that I'm the first person to call it that.... It was probably its code-name during design!

But I do like that its really the first Polish boat that you've posted that has been 'all in' on being an ocean boat.. Inboard, deep heavy keel, beam for stability. Most have been just lots of volume, outboard powered inside trailer-able limits. Kinda like a modern Hunter 260.

That is what the market calls for. Majority of production (90%+) for the major players in the Polish boating industry is either sold outside of the country or to the charter fleets. Most boats are available (option) with an inboard or keel (mostly export), but for lake sailing it is just not required. End users (or people that charter the boats for a week or weekend few times during the summer) want a nice, roomy boats with fridge, TV, heat, shore power, standing height - you name it. The industry responds and for the major charter fleet players the fleet is never older than a few years. People don't want to charter old boats and the demographics is little different than what I see in my area. Lots of young people. No keels or inboards reflect the area where the boats are used, as it is very common to stay for the night on a nice shore with the transom at ankle depth.
This movie below, while older, very well shows a small portion of the Masurian Lake District. There is no room what what you like, unfortunately. See how many "classic looking" boats will you spot.
The large ocean going market is already dominated and it is hard to get the slice of the pie and being a manufacturer (and investor), get a reasonable return on investment. I think only Delphia is doing well in that regard (sail wise) - you want Polish-build power and luxury? Money is not an issue? No problem! http://galeon.pl/en/yachts/ or http://www.sunreef-yachts.com/en/sailing-yachts The midrange market, well, we all know the players there. So overall, I think the sub 10m long market segment (manufacturing) is very strong and will remain strong.

Now, back to inverted bows..... ;-)

I was agreeing with you, indeed that was my point. I just personally don't find them desirable.
Many of the forum members here (including myself) do know your affection to racing and yes, these boats are absolutely not cut for that. Myself being more of a weekender, I just find different order of importance to me. Now, don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind a nice Elan or Dufour GL series around 35ft or so. But then I would either have to dredge my lake or move. The former being preferred.

That's not it really. I'm into that length (26 ish) boat. I'm not a fan of boats that try and maximize interior space (huge freeboard, small/no sidedecks, limited storage, etc), trailerability (low trailer height, max beam, etc) and lower cost (outboard, 'C' rated gear, etc) to hit that market requirement. I'm not saying its not there, its just not me. I like that Pogoski 31 a lot. They could build me a 27 foot version with a lifting keel.

Hmm....the closest I can think is Focus 750 performance (little short but low freeboard) or Maxus 26 Evo daggerboard version (freeboard issue, but one of the fastest production boats in PL). Some say 24.4 Evo is as fast. None of them will plane.
What about Reacher 780?
