Believe it or not that calculation has been done. NOPE!How about a nuclear device delivered by a submarine to blow that formation to pieces
It is about like the Dewar Flasks.
We have to deal the solar energy collected along the Storms path for say 18 days, about 200 miles in diameter, the spin of the earth, Jet stream, and other weather energy.
Talk about a renewable energy source!!
________
This is why I was kinda joking [elbow nudge] back with the thermodynamic term Adiabatic [simple means do Work on Hurricane with out heat wasting]why do the combined gas law calculation for room temperature?
So...
Using what you said, cool the dang thing.I can't resist...
You would need an non adiabatic expansion of liquid Nitrogen
Unfortunately the energy needed to Liquify the Nitrogen is HUGE too.
Thus..
To control a Hurricane, I sought out the Star Trukian answer.
________
We can learn build to resist the wind, water surge, not so easy.

Trivia: After Katrina I was asked to design a coastal Hurricane PROOF home. I took on the challenge. After considering the know 40'+ wall of water that hit us in Waveland MS. After several hours of fun calculations. I did it!! Unfortunately it looked like a USN Attack Nuclear Submarine and about the same cost. Just open the hatch when it is all over.
