The bracket on my Catalina 310 M25 XBP universal broke off. How do I replace it?

Thanks

Or just get some strap from a plumbing supply, wrap it around the HX, mark for holes, drill the holes and bolt it to your engine.

Cloyd,
Fix it right, get the brackets from Mr. Cool. I have over 100 hours on the engine since installation and they work great. Yes they are expensive, but worth it. Don't know if you remember, I met you in Simi Valley awhile ago. Good luck with your project and let us know how it works out for you.

Thanks. How did the installation go looks like a bear to get to? Must the hoses on the heat exchanger need to be removed other items need to be removed? Cloyd

Not easy, but can be done with out removing hoses. The bracket slides under the big bolts on the back of the engine. The clamps can be completely opened to go over the heat exchanger. Then put them together.

I stole this picture from someone else's post a couple of years ago....
I used these brackets when I replaced my HX. They are a Universal item and cost about $12 at the time. The only issue I had installing them was they are very stiff and due to space issues, I couldn't squeeze them together close enough to use the short bolts that mount the HX. So I used ty-wraps to hold them together, started the bolts in the hole then cut and removed the ty-wraps. Not an easy job. Sorry, I don't have a part #. :(

While I was replacing the HX I replaced all the associated hoses as well. At any chafing points, there are lots with the vibration of this engine, I cut short pieces of rubber hose and used these to cover the engine cooling hoses. No issues since.
I don't have experience with the brackets mentioned above, but these worked great.

Cheers

Thanks for help. The hoses for chaffing is a great idea.
