Jennifer and I took a drive today just to get out on a nice sunny day. decided to go up to Howard Prairie Lake, which is a high mountain lake with awesome sailing, but also used for irrigation in the valley below. we were last there a little over a week ago and it was barely launchable then, so we assumed it would be too low by today. I think we could have still launched today, but it would be REAL close, as only about 2' of water remains over the bottom of the cement ramp. Adding to the insult, the winds were 8-10 and smooth as a babies butt. We'll still be able to sail a wile yet down in the valley, but it almost made me shed a tear knowing the "good" sailing days left this year are numbered.
