Sorry I was off-line, cushion material was the standard plain (navy) colored cloth, from Leveille Upholstery in Framingham. The cushions are about 12 years old, still look good, I think.

I used "Citristrip"...

Dumond Smart Strip (got my last small bucket at Sherwin Williams) is similar to Citristrip (used to get that at Home Depot). Both of those are great and have little to no odor.
