Using old Transducer to New Depth Display

I have what is believed to be original depth sounder on my Oday 26. The gauge is a round standard horizon. I would like to replace this with a different display. Will the old transducer (it works) be compatible? is there a box I can add to make it compatible with newer displays or chart plotters? thanks

if th ebrand name of th e new thing is same as old thing and the INSTRUCTION book says they are compatible then mebbe they are. if not-- goodluck.
it pays to read the compatibilities and instructions before you purchase if you wish the same old stuff to be compatible with the new..

I will have to look when at the boat. I know its a Standard Horizon Display. Its a round display and appears to be original. It works fine but the digits are small and the glass a little scuffed up. I will try to get more data later when I go to boat.

I have successfully connected the transducer from my old Standard Horizon DS10 to my new Simrad NSS8... old transducer was 200 Khz ... Simrad has 200Khz as one of the selectable parameters. Pictures are the label on the old transducer wire:

MLindberg ... the NSS8 came with a plug/lead .... I spliced coax shield to 5.Black and coax + to 1.Red.

for the echo sounder ... I spliced the transducer coax onto the plug for the NSS8 ...

actually I think I spliced 5 and 6 together too ...
