Back to Roger's post, how about we all notify our congressmen about this mess and ask them to do something to earn the hefty salary we pay them to live in Washington? Maybe a few auditors showing up will help incentivize these folks at the documentation center to get their job done. It is a classic control problem, if inputs exceed outputs then backlogs increase. This process needs to be measured and if backlogs are increasing the actions must be taken to increase outputs. Many options are available to fix this, but it looks like no one is managing the place.
