We have a 2014 Hunter 50cc with a Panda generator. The generator works great when it's running; however, if the boat is in even slight wave action while at sea, it chokes out. Any ideas, suggestions?

Ok, this is a little complicated, but I'm sure this is your problem.Thank you for the response, good info.
Ok, this is a little complicated, but I'm sure this is your problem.
The 12 mini that Hunter uses has an interface for the Fireboy extinguisher system.
If the fire extinguisher in the engine compartment activates, then a contact on the extinguiser signals the Fireboy interface box.
On the Fireboy interface box, there are 2 sets of contacts
1 set shuts down the engine
The other set shuts down the generator.
The problem is that the generator relies on the NC (normally closed) contact on a small 30 Amp (black box) relay.
In other words, when the relay coil energizes from the Fireboy, it opens the NC relay contact.
Unfortunately, these little black box power relays have power rated contacts, which means they aren't suited well for solid state interrupt signals, which is what is coming from the panda controller.
So, here is how you are going to verify what am telling you is what's causing your problem
You will need to locate the power relay which has 2 purple /white wires, and 2 small guage red wires.
Disconnect the 2 small red wires from the relay, and connect them together .
Note, these are all on slip-on 1/4" female disconnects, so just make a short male to make 1/4" disconnect jumper, and plug both red wires to it.
I'm pretty confident this will isolate the issue.
If this is it, post here, and I'll give you a work around to solve it, while maintaining the Fireboy interlock
