Just purchased a 1990 Hunter 27-2 and going through some routine maintenance which appears to have been neglected over the years. I'm looking at the head and waste hose system.
The head isn't pumping completely empty and gets a bit of waste water back in after pumping. I'm about to change the pump and joker valve but taking a look at the hose it appears as though it simply runs back toward the holding tank (uphill) and goes directly to a Y valve, then either out to a seacock or to the tank. I can't find any kind of anti-siphon or high point in the system.
Is this normal for a 1990 27ft Hunter? Also, the Y valve appears frozen in place. Any ideas on how to free it without opening up the system?
