Can anyone tell me if the hull below the waterline is solid fiberglass? If not then what is the composition?

I believe that all o'days are solid hulls. Where I have replaced through hulls the thickness has varied from 3/4 to 3/8 inches.

Do you know if they are solid throughout or just below the waterline. I am trying to install a depth sounder that reads thru the hull but the bottom has to be solid fierglass
thanks

I had a 22 footer and currently a 240. They both have a transducer that shoots through the floor. No problems with either.

My 240 has the wing keel. I ended up mounting it in the rear quarter berth storage area.

Solid hulls. Only balsa cored on decks and cabin tops and such.

O'day 40 have cored hulls.
I attempted to use a depth sounder that went through the hull on my solid hull 39. It did not work but the sounder company said that it was not unusual for the sounder not to work in large older boats that were designed and built before gas prices (resin) went up. More modern hulls are likely designed better and therefore much thinner.
