We took the Stargazer out for our first night sail last night. It was a gorgeous evening for a sail.
Noticed some minor issues while out. Biggest was the lack of lighting on the binnacle instruments. I got the yanmar pannel lights to work with a switch on the pannel, but the depth meter, knot meter, and compass remained dark. I tried the running lights steaming lights, and anchor lights, and none of the instruments lit. Does anyone know how to acces the wiring and bulbs for these? Which breaker are these normally wired into? I have not disassembled these yet, and want to know what I am getting into.
Additionally, my steaming light worked great on the way out, but would not turn back on when we restarted the engine for the trip through the ICW back to our dock. The anchor light has not worked since we have had her, and is on my list of projects. I am hoping this is a bulb issue, and not mast wiring.
Running lights had an open short in the forward cabin, (bad splice) that I fixed months ago, and they worked well.
