During a Youngstown Level regatta the Coast Guard waived over the Niagara on the Lake bumboat and cited the young dock monkey for driving under the bow of the Uniflight where the Cox could not see him. While getting his ticket at the CG Station, Customs wanted them to seize the NOLSC whaler and the Coasties demurred saying it wasn't warranted. Border Patrol said they don't go to sea, Immigration said they had made arrangements with Youngstown and Niagara and they wouldn't, so Customs impounded the bumboat stranding 30+ Canadians in Youngstown. Shortly after midnight, Canadian Border Patrol indicated they wanted to go home for the night....what to do. A thirty foot C&C sloop was dispatched to Youngstown to retrieve the happy racers and they were all loaded below except the helmsmen and two on deck so as to not attract attention. The helm reports he did not look below but there was a whole lot of giggling going on.... Canadian Customs processed 32 returning to Canada and went home.
Yes you can put on that many according to the Craigs list. Safety of course is totally another matter.
