Indeed a hard job as Allan stated ! Besides the glass tabs you also find you might have to tear off the shelving on the wall behind the head in order to reach the screws inside. And the holding tank hoses (pump out and vent) as well as shower sump hose are nested very close to the starboard side of that bulkhead. I revarnished the cabin side without problems. I did not need to do the head side as it was in good shape, but I did take off a lot of the screws when doing the compression post. Good luckThere are a lot of screws that are hard to reach inside the sliders on both sides and the bulkhead is fiberglassed to the hull in various spots (tabbed). Its a hard job.
I suggest you start a new thread if you are looking for lots of replies. In the meantime, here is what I did. I did not remove it completely. I went at it from the rear cabin and removed enough to create a large access port enabling me to work around the fuel tank fairly easily. I built it so it can be taken off again if needed. I covered it with sheets of counter top formica that I had and hid the joints with small teak strips (not seen on pictures)Slight hijacking - has anyone removed the starboard panel on the engine compartment? I have a fuel leak and seems like removal of that panel would give location and repair access. Just wondering if I have to remove the whole cover or if I can just remove the side panel.
