Do you have a furling jib? Which brand? My CDI furler has a track and internal halyard that allows me to remove the jib. Just untie the harlyard at the drum and start pulling the luff down.

I attach a line to the end of the CDI jib halyard so I can rehoist the jib.

CDI is about the only small furler I know of that had it own internal halyard thus leaving the standard jib halyard left for raising and lowering the mast. All others used the jib halyard and if trailering a lot, CDI was the way to go for that reason as you did not have to take the sail on and off every time you raised and lowered the mast.

Larry, it would be helpful if you could tell us the furler mfg. The jib is hoisted by a halyard either the standard or a furler with it's own internal Halyard. if you find it is a CDI furler, it probably is the #2 furler and go under CDI and look at their manual which I bet you do not have.

My H26 has a Profurl. The jib is raised and lowered through a track on the furler with the jib halyard. I use the spin halyard to raise and lower the mast, but mostly keep the furled jib on the furler when I raise and lower the mast. BrianW

I have a Hunter 260 96' model. Is it normal for floor to feel alittle spongy on a water ballast model.
Mainly as you enter.
