Well I gave up my blue blazer and resigned as Commodore of the Catalina 30 Fleet 32 (Lake Lanier, GA). Actually, as noted in the Mainsheet Magazine for Catalina owners, it read "Fleet reforming". I must admit nothing ever came about regarding the organization of an estimated 20+ Catalina 30 owners who are on Lake Lanier. Most owners join on eo fthe many active sailing clubs. I was volunteered for the position and never had the time to get anything done. Besides, most boats stay idle on the Lake most of the year.
So, they are looking for an indivisual that would like to be the Fleet 32 Commodore.
If you are docked anywhere on Lake Lanier, GA and wish to take on this task, I would assist in trying to gather names of boat owners and provide contact information with the Association.
Unfortunately you have to buy your own white Skipper Hat with the "scrambled eggs" all over the visor. But imagine the thrill of becomming COMMODORE or ADMIRAL of the Fleet?!
