I frequently have to remove my paddle wheel speed transducer and clean it out so that it will spin freely. It gets some barnacles and slime if the boat sits for very long and won't spin.
This task would be much simpler if it could be "unplugged" so that this job could be done while standing at the sink or on the dock rather than laying down on the cabin sole.
Has anyone cut the wire to the transducer and installed some sort of plug/receptacle so that this could be done? Is this even feasible?
Appreciate any thoughts on this.
Cheers,
Jim
