Hi- I was wondering if anyone has had experience with winter covers for a Catalina 28? I am interested in purchasing one for a 1991 I recently bought. Also, does anyone use a lift for this boat, and if so, what type?

I purchased a cover at the boat show last Oct. from "The Canvas Store". They shipped in 2 weeks Quality was very good but they missed on some of the stanchion cuts. They said they had the wrong pattern from Catalina and I would have the recut section back in July or August. Nothing as yet.

I have a wing keel, so the cradle must be made for it. my lift is a older high tide 10,000 lb and high tide was a pain to work with.... I gave them the drawing straight from Catalina (818 884 7700) exactly what is needed... but high tide was very hard to work with.... in hind sight i should have just bought a larger lift but then i would have bought a bigger boat... larger lift, bigger boat... oh... we all know where this goes...... As it stands i lift the boat out most of the time and really like the option, especially when i am up north in summer.... all the best, brian
