I am trying to put the system back together after I lost steering on the last trip and had to return under e-tiller. Apparently, one of the chain to cable connections (barrel shaped screw connectors) worked loose over time because the backing nut was not set. And then it became my time to remember how the e-tiller works, and fast.
So, now that I got it back together how do you route the steering cable/chain assbly? Do you cross them over in the pedestal just before they go across the chain sprocket on the wheel axel?
I know it is backwards right now because I can see the quadrant from the e-tiller access hole and it is deflecting opposite of how it should when I turn the wheel. But not sure where the cross over of the cables is made. I never saw it when connected correctly before.
Any help would be appreciated.
