For my polishing pads and wool buffer covers, I use Lake Country Pad Cleaner. Works great for dissolving the wax, compounds, etc from... -

I'll go through a dozen towels waxing my classic car for a show, so I go through a lot of them. If you buy new I recommend the gray ones...
