The Farr and C&C are GREAT boats, but you can get into the 28R for about 1/2 the price. Really. So its taking off like gangbusters worldwide. The sold 10 in Sweden in the first 2 months of production. We looked at the build quality at KW race week, and the boat is SOLID. Loading her up after raceweek.
This what Catalina could have come close to if they would have done their homework on the 275 sport and gone all in. But they made it heavy, slow and safe. No guts no glory.

Sorry, hit post button before being done: Looks super fast and a lot of fun. There's a quantum leap forward going on in boat design. Or maybe it's more correct to say that the sailing public is catching up with the design revolution which has already occurred. In any event, our Good Old Boats are looking like dinosaurs!
