Good to hear you got out of Maz to Z-Town. Nice to have a change of scenery, huh? Plans to stay a while, go south or just figure it out later?

will remain here only until threat of named storming activity, then mebbe huatulco or salina cruz then across tehuantepec to panama........"slowly [we] turn...step by step, inch by inch....."

por lo puesto, for those not liking pacific sailing, as the thinking is we always have large swells---the swells have been only 1-3 ft --there is a point to pass(lazaro cardenas) that shelters most of the land mass from the pacific ocean, and the current actually turns north here--is weird, and strange, when one is used to the area of pacific wherein kali and north mexico exist--there the current is southbound, 2-4 kts. here is north bound and flukey. we drifted for 2 days--was good--that is where i noticed the drift ceased and the northern current began....has been a fun trip so far--looking forward to more!

Sounds like fun!

before the next leg, maybe you should have a bottom cleaning ;).
Sorry about the computer. Glad you had a spare. You use your computer for navigation, no? So, what will you do for a back up?

I'm looking forward to the pics.
We were recently on the Pacific Coast of Mexico for the first time. It was much different than imagined. I can see the attraction for you. Maybe someday for me.

i now have a clean hull...lol..after the fact...and i am hooked onto a good rock with my bruce i bought from ray--thankyou, ray, for the most awesome anchor in life....has made my cruising life a lot more restful...these rocky bottomed anchorages cry out for bruce anchors--some places have sand between rocks, some have silty muck...
of the anchorages i have visited, i like this one best, so far...holding seems to be good. surf is minimal, and folks are most helpful and good souls.

might have found a puter repair soul here.....will check it out soon...
