My OMC Zephyr is being a pain in the stern. I just replaced the impeller and now am having problems. When I start the engine it pumps fine, but when it gets hot it quits pumping water...I am boggled! I've run it at the dock in neutral for 45 minutes and no problems but when underway she gets HOT! I melted the inlet on my muffler! I've swam the boat and ran a coat hanger up the water inlet to clear out any obstructions, the prop is not fouled and, well, I'm lost. Do any of you have any ideas? I'm going through sailing withdrawels and would really like to get my little zephyr back to being a dependable Iron Genny. I'm almost ready to sell the boat and build an airplane!!!
