Here is how I changed the clothes closet into a useful cupboard.
With a jig saw, cut out the weird shaped opening to a nice rectangle with rounded corners, lay a piece of 1/2" marine plywood against it and mark around the opening with a Sharpie. Cut out the door and sand all edges. Add a couple of hinges and a ball snap then add a hook like the folding door.
Add a shelf or two and bingo, it's done.

The added shelf holds tons of canned food and other kitchen stuff

Excellent! Did you change those forward bulkheads? I like the trim. Also impressed with the extra safety equipment- do you require helmets for all crew? :)

We keep our clothing in hockey bags up front.
Bulkheads are original and solid, I had them out when I redid the hull liner.
I fitted large washers under the bolt heads as well.

I love the larger washers. Nice job with the door. As far as clothes go less is more!

Perhaps the helmet is a good idea, after all it isn't called a "boom" for nothing. Nice job, look forward to your next installment. You have very creative ideas, thanks for the posts.
