I bought a 35 qt. Englar recently, about 80 bucks less than comparable Yeti. Steamed36 ears of corn about 9-10 am. At about 2:00 pm, corn was almost too hot to pick up out of the box. I had pretreated cooler by pouring a teapot of hot water into it for a short time before dumping the water and adding the corn. Great hot box, haven't used it for cold yet.

They probably are good enough to use for things you don’t need them for. That’s the thing. If you are transporting a heart across the Mojave that is what you want. If you need to keep your beer cold for 4 hours you’re good with a foam cooler.

I have an AO softside I bought at WM. It keeps ice for 48 hours and is less than half the cost of a Yeti. It works fine for me.
