I recently purchased a '79 Hunter "33" with a Yanmar 2QM15 diesel engine. I don't have a wrench that will turn the forward and aft engine zinc nuts. It looks like a need a good sized open-end wrench, does anyone know the size or is there a better alternative? I need to check/replace these a.s.a.p. Thanks for your help.

Plumbers wrench

I have the same engine and use a plumber's or monkey wrench. Just position the wrench and hold it with one hand then tap the end of the wrench with a hammer unitl the fitting is loose. You may need some WD40. On the front fitting, be careful that the entire unit, with the hoses, does not turn, as this may crimp or damage the by-pass hose.
