Hi everyone.

My Yanmar YSE12 has a leakinf fuel line.

The connector has a bolt with a hole in it that passes through the connector (on the line) and screws into the fuel pump. The connection is similiar to what is on rubber brake lines.

Does anyone know what this connector is and how to get a new line.

I thought maybe a hydraulic shop might help. (Napa and other automotive stores were useless).

thanks

Contact one of your local Yanmar dealer/distributors. Many of the parts that were on those older motors also fit on the later models like the GM series. They can tell you what to do if they don't have them too.

It is usually the 2 brass washers on both sides of the connector that need to be replaced. They are supposed to crush when you tighten the bolt. But if it is the line... Yanmar dealer!

It is called a banjo fitting, you can remove the copper sealing washers sand them on a flat surface with some 100 grit paper and they will seal again. Works in a pinch if you can't get new ones..

Thanks. Banjo fitting was what I needed. I found a Banjo fitting with a hose barb on the end. I just need to measure the fitting (bolt size ect) and I should be good to go.

Yanmar's part is no longer available of course.

Mcmaster has the fitting for 25.00 each.

That seems expensive, but until I get the correct size, there isn't much need
to worry about checking around.

Thanks everyone.
