Yanmar ysb 8 ;Catalina 27

Just seeking some feed back from sailors who have this engine. It's in a 27 Catalina 1978, it's had some work done on it over the years but there's no engine log and the owner has passed away. Are parts easily available,what problems should I watch for. Looking at buying the boat.Thanks Derek

parts for Yamar

I have a YSB12 which is very similar. There has been no problem getting all parts. Rebuilt engine last spring. The only thing is that the price of parts is terribly expensive.
